Liaar Analysis Of An NME Music Magazines

Liiar Analysis of an NME music magazine

In this analysis I was be analysing the music magazine NME, I will also be doing an NME contents page and a Double page spread analysing while using a 'Liiar'.

Firstly I will be discussing the language of the front cover. The use of the image of the male on the cover as he covers up most of the matser head a technique used in most magazine front cover almost like a convention.m
Another language style is the use of the colour font so the matser head is in red such as the sell line as it tells us about what's in the article. For example in this front cover the use of the large red font which catches the attention straight away allows us to know that 'Tyler the creator' is the main attention in this front cover. Also, the colour fonts in the article are similar because the use of colours are simple such as red, black and white to create the pattern and using simplary. The use of the clear white background behind the male as the center of the photo doesn't distract us from 'Tyler the creator' as we don't wonder to what could be surrounding him. Also, the male in the cover is dressed in quite bright colours and has a crown on his head and around her neck to emphasis the point that he is in fact 'Tyler the Creator'.
Secondally, I will be evulationg the ideology of the music front cover magazine as I believe that this music magazine article represents how 'Tyler the Creator' is intended to be see as the great one through props and the layout of the magazine which allows me to believe that in my interpretation that he is what the magazine makes him to be. The values are that he has a status highly in the music world and the use of like I said before the crowns represents said athourty. Also, the use of the colours like I touched apon in my language anyalis represents colours that you could associate with being successful with the status as he is known as 'Tyler the creator' and the use of the colour gold remind me of gold and money. Overall, my beliefs of this music magazine cover show me that the aimed to be that 'Tyler the Creator' wanted to be the main attention, it also wanted to represent how he is seen as rich and successful.
The institution of the magazine is NME which is a music magaizne which focuses on RnB genre and likes the colours of red and party type of music. The magazine I believe what's to show how the music life is all about partying and that feeling off being on the top of the industry. It also identifys a certain audience which is clearly obvious to the people would read it like that the fact would be it would be the more urban kind of audience who would like to read this magaizne. Overall the magazine NME has a key genre in which is clearly stated as an RnB.
Next I'm going to be discussing the audience I discussed it briefly in my anyalis of insitution as I mentioned it has a more urban kind off outlook. To go into detail the audience tends to be 16 to 25 year olds and occiosnaly more off a older audience too. The front cover gets the audience attention by the use of the props of the crowns showing and emphasis again his title 'Tyler the creator'.
Next I will be discussing the representation of the NME magazine front cover is represented in the rich and successful  kind of representation. It has the representation of this because I believe that the colours and the use of props said show this connation of the rich and successful represantion. There's also white followers in the 'Tyler the Creator' hand. Creating the irony of how he's Tyler the creator yet he's innocent. Also, the use of his facial expression showing how he's suprised leads us to see him as suprised and in aware of his title.

Next I will be evaulting the contents page  by using the Liiar anyalis. The use of language in this is used similar by the use of different fonts and colours. The use of the red, blacks my white fonts and the fact that the background of the page is white shows the simplisticness of the music magazine NME. There is only one image showing how the Article Monkeys have the most attention and the other information on the page has little importants compared to the main image which aswell has a clear black font larged title. Also, you can notice that the guy on the main image is singing and is at work representing the importance of what he is doing. Another thing you could mention is the use of advertisement as there is the usage of advertstment is unusual and you would usually see this on the front cover or futhur at the back of a magazine. Also the use of titles in the contents because of the black recenatglur block with the white font writing on.
Next I'm going to be discussing is the ideology of the contents page as I previously mentioned that the main image is the centre and catches most of the attention to direct it to the page it is on which is an easy reprention of the magazine.
The institution as I have previously mentioned above in my analysis of the front cover, which is represented in this through the logo which is placed in the top left corner which your able to notice clearly as it is in red font with white highlighted around it this makes it stand out as beside the little written in red this is the largest text and most noticeable showing how it's a very important establishment.
The audience of the magazine which I previously established in my target for an audience above for the anyalis of a front cover magazine. Which is usually 18 to 25 year olds mostly males because the Rap kind of based music tends to be angender for the male as there more related to it. However, because the Artic Monkeys is the main image of this contents page and the is a male artist in the image dressed in a non sleeved shirt could help get more of a female audience by the use of proactive images.
Lastly the use of representation in this contents page is used to show how the magazine constrates on the music and performance and that's there touch to the music industry. Because of the use of a non edited image and the fact that it's of a real perforamnce creates the attude of realism.

Now I'm going to discuss the Liiar Anyaliss of a NME music magazine double page spread a lot of if will link with what I have said before.

Firstly I will be discussing the language of a double page spread on NME there is a vast amount to discuss as the use of the image on the left page as the whole image takes up the page showing the importance they have.  Also the main title to introduce what the double page spread is going to be about is written in two different fonts as the fancy fairy tale kind of font and then the plain simple text which has less imagery to it. Also, the use of the clear colour compares to the rest of the article which is written in a grey light colour. The factor that the article hasn't got to much attention to it for example the use of the plain white background and only on image creats no imagination to the reader and allows them to focus on the article.
Next I'm going to be discussing the ideology the beliefs of the double page spread are quite sucifnicant as you get the idea that the focus is on the main image and the title. The written on the article clearly has less significance because of it been written in a lighter colour.
The institution of the magazine in which I have previously mentioned is NME however, this isn't expmapled in this magazine double page spread and there is very little advertstment in this example which allows me to see that the magazine values the artist.
To continue you with the audience is as I have previously mentioned twice in both examples is the ages between 18-25 of a more of a male audience because of the artist which the magazine interview and displays such as 'Tyler the creator'. However, in the double page spread I can identify the factor that this is not the magazines usually musician trying to get a wider audience.
Lastly the representation  of the double page spread is to show the more outrages and not usually side of the magazine because of how it's repesneted on to focus on the content and less on the quality. Secondally another representation is how the less of the colour and key attractions makes the reader see the magazine more postivley compared to before on the front cover with 'Tyler the Creator'.
