My Colour Scheme

My Colour Scheme

I've decided on a simplistic colour scheme, which is red , black, white and black.

I used these colours to show the stereotypically RNB magazine and I have used NME as my example and follow that colour scheme although they don't have purple. I also think that the colour scheme could represent power as black is quite a mischievous colour and my target audience is viewed by society as mischievous. White shows connotation of innocence which again my audience is related to. And red can be seen as a 'sex' symbol in-between the white and black's colour scheme. The colour purple will blend in with the three other colours making the magazine more representational/

Digital Mock Up

This is my first digital mock up draft and I edited on Photoshop, I used the white background as it was a simplistic choice at the time however, I believe that perhaps for my first draft of my front I will use a darker colour perhaps such as black. I'm going to use a red, black and white colour scheme as I've stated before because this represents power in my opinion. I deiced on the title R N Beat because that is the name of my music magazine.  Although I'm not happy with my chosen font I do believe this has come out not as I expected.

Location Ideas

These are some of the places I think would be suitable places for me to take the photos for my front cover and double page spread.

A party; would be good because it re-establishes the youth ideology that my magazine represents.

A studio: would be more likely and the images would be more easy to edit and is more of a convention because must magazines do this.

Dark setting: Because this theme would go with my housing style/
