My Own College Magazine Cover Analysis

My magazine cover

Language:  The use  of conventions on this magazine cover are the use of the plug as it is 'Win a free meal at nandos'. The use of the barcode and   How the the master header is already been placed on because we took the picture outside of the building allowing the magazine cover master head to look realistic. I also used the sub headings to be all the same colour and same sized fonts which is another conventions. And the sell lines are in red and a smaller different fonts to show the less importance. I positioned the book and folder there to show how eduction is important and the aim I was trying to show for the wyke college idealism. I also wanted to show the building so that you can see the importance to my idealism.
Ideology:   My ideology is simple as it I want to show how important education is and the fun side of wyke college and the learning is what I want to represent. My beliefs are that the use of the folders creates the natural side of the magazine and shows education as well. Instead of me standing near a blank wall it is more natural and comfortable for an outside looker on the magazine cover for me to be outside. The values are just similar to the beliefs.
Institution: The institution of this magazine cover is me as I created it for Wyke college and it identifies some key themes which the college represents eduction and learning.
Audience: The audience is for Wyke students like myself, as I'm doubtful that such things as tips for exams would be appropriate for parents of students that go to Wyke college. Audience was key for my cover for the plenary task to make sure I don't put a sell line that wouldn't attract students that are younger and that don't infact go to Wyke.
Representation: The representation of this magazine cover is clearly for students who go to wyke college and mainly students. I used articles in which students would care about and would grab there attention and what they would value important rather than something un useful like 'what to wear for a party'. As I hardly see that important for a student magazine.
