Three Magazine Covers

Samples of magazine articles:
Liiar Analysis:

Image one:
Language: The first student magazine has, a lot of conventions such as a chance to win a free prize which is a plugging.Other conventions are the selling lines such as 'The best revision tips'.The style is very grungy, and uses house style which is about the colours. There is different use of text for the master head 'student' and the sub headings using different colours. The girl is also positioned so that she's looking directly into the camera. shes also dressed very casually so that she relate to over students.
Ideology: I believe that this magazine cover represents the more female gender than the male as a magazine cover because of the conventions advertise the more female market. I also, believe that this magazine doesn't focus as much on the boring factors of college and more on living.
Institution: The institution of the magazine is the college in which the students designed it for.
Audience: The audience of the magazine is the students and the parents of the students. The parents are less likely to read it as, its lack of intrest for them but, would read it so they know more about the student life.
Representation: The girl in my belief shows how the typical student and relates to everyday studentsn and how they look. They text is also stands out because its highlighted with a black out lining.
                                                Image two:

Language: This cover has medium close up of the girl, and has lots of conventions such as the bar code, the master header and sub
headings. The layout of the cover is pretty simple. The girl is the
center of the photo, is your average student. The magazine font and
colours are also colour coordinated such as the use of the white,
yellow and blue which change throughout. The font for the sub headings and the sell lines beside the size. The girl in the magazine head is placed above the master header.
Ideology: I believe the ideology of this magazine cover represents the average college student, and they try to show it through this magazine cover. The use of costume shows so, because of her outfit. Which is
very simple.
Institution: Obviously again the institution of this magazine is the college, aimed for students not parents as you can tell by the subheadings which are not suitable for adults in the sense as for the students.
Audience:  The audience is clearly is the students, but however I feel as if this different as its aimed for college students. However, I believe that this is from an American perspective. So don't I believe like my first magazine cover that this is tended for the adults, because of the  subheadings.
Representation: I believe the representation of this magazine is for the preppy students that go to college. I believe that it is also for students who interested in the glitz and glam of the competition.

Image three:
Language: The cover of this magazine is a medium close up of a college student, who is dressed in simple clothing as the average male student. The magazine cover has the usual
conventions  such as the bar code and a plug, there are sub heading as well. Such as image two this magazine has a similar layout however the font is different yet theres the same use of
colour. Also, in this magazine the male student is placed over the master header covering up the 'L's'. Also, they have given the male books to carry showing the male to be happy because hes smiling and holding the books proudly.
Ideology: I believe that the ideology of this magazine is two convey how the student is happy because of his poistioning, how hes smiling and the fact hes holding his study books showing how he is enjoying student life.
Institution: Again like the other two magazine covers, this institution of the magazine is for the students that other college students have designed. But aiming for more of a male audience.

Audience: Like image two this image is intened for students but more of the male audience then the female audience because of the sub headings. As I dont believe that the average female college
students wants to know about 'The worlds sprint factory'. Also, such as image two I commented on how this intened for an American  audience.
Representation: I feel that the representation of the magazine is for the male egotistcial students, who care about their grades and this really represents how it's for the students. Unlike image one where the repsentavies are also for the parents too.
